Every day I read the newsroom at our accountants website, and sometime I use those topics for posts on the Kiss2 blog. Todays article is worth a pondering:
Parents 'rely' on wealthy children
(over 27% of parents in the UK will have to turn to their children for comfortable retirement)
My immediate thoughts on this:
(I am not a parent, let me make that clear up front)
Yes, so? How much have parents spent on their children, helping them succeed in live, helping them through college, university, fed, provided shelter, warmth, love? What's wrong with 'changing places'?
What was wrong with 'the old days', where families relied on each-other their whole life, teaching youngsters; sharing food, drinks, shelter, work even with everyone; taking care of those who needed care?
What's so good about these modern days?
